Over the years, having been subjected to watching most of the crap, that B and C grade Bollywood films dish out week after week, I have actually started enjoying them. Deshdrohi for example was one of the funniest movies I have seen in my life; you can call it unintentional funny.
Hum Phirr Mileinge is one such film that could make a Bollywood fan laugh-out-loud at some of the sequences; it's that weird and stupid. The very first scene, which by the way is meant to make you laugh, has a woman looking at herself in the mirror, asking her husband how she's looking. To which, the man ridicules her to tears. You got to see it to believe it!
On a serious note, the film is just a mixture of many classics from the past, with new actors and a director, who doesn't deserve to be called one.
Poor direction, cheesy dialogues, confused script, horrible performances, disastrous make-up... Put everything together and we have Hum Phirr Mileinge. The music too is average.
Sarvar Ahuja, a decent actor, is terribly letdown by the script. An extra K for KKhushi doesn't seem to have helped, poor performance. Rati Agnihotri is good. The rest are fine. Riya Sen has a special appearance, which is great; a full-fledged role would have made this film a bigger torture.
To sum up, watch Hum Phirr Mileinge on DVD just to see how stupid a film can be! What were the makers thinking?
